Quality Education
Canadian institutions are noted worldwide by international academic institutions, employers and governments alike for offering the highest quality of education. A Canadian degree, diploma or certificate is recognized globally, with many well-regarded leaders in business, government and academic circles around the world having received their education in Canada. Canada currently hosts 240,000 international students at all levels. International students comprise 8% of the country’s university population. And the number is growing each year as more students across the world discover the incredible opportunities that await them here. |
Campus Connections
Canada’s campuses are wired for Internet residences and classrooms, and equipped with high-volume libraries, sports facilities, concert halls, student-run radio stations, newspapers and business ventures. In addition, clubs and associations representing a multitude of ethnic backgrounds are also easily accessible. International student advisors can help students get in touch with such groups and provide support throughout the year. |
Multicultural and Welcoming
Regardless of your ethnic origin, as a student, you will feel at home in our diverse communities and campuses. Canada has traditionally been a country of immigrants and has a policy of encouraging multicultural diversity. With almost all of the world's ethnic groups are represented in Canada, most ethnic foods and recreation activities associated with specific cultures are available in Canada. Canada ranks among the most multicultural nations in the world. One out of three Canadians has a background other than English, French and Aboriginal. Also, Canada is the nation that receives the most newcomers annually per capita. In fact, the Canadian identity stems from its diverse languages and a culture that has combined European and Native American roots. And, with Canada’s national policy for multiculturalism working to ensure that everyone’s customs and traditions are preserved and respected, Canada provides a welcoming environment for all. Students coming to Canada will experience a secure, peaceful, multi-cultural environment in cities and towns with people who are friendly and interested in learning about other cultures. |
Quality of Life
Canada is recognized worldwide to be one of the Best Places in the World to Live for quality of life. The United Nations consistently ranks Canada as one of the top places in the world to live. From safe neighbourhoods in some of North America’s most cosmopolitan cities, to stable government with excellent health care and public transportation systems, Canadian life radiates quality. The excitement of Canada’s metropolitan centres is equalled by the breathtaking beauty of Canada’s wilderness. As the second largest country in the world, Canada is home to some of the world’s most impressive landscapes and geographical features, including the Rocky Mountains, the Great Lakes, and river systems galore. Spanning from the Atlantic, to the Arctic, to the Pacific Ocean, Canada is a country of four seasons inhabited by a population that appreciates the recreational opportunities these seasons provide. From skiing to surfing, from golf to camping to hockey….and back again, Canada’s bounty is rivalled only by its unspoiled beauty. |
A Safe Place to Study
Canada is considered to be a relatively peaceful, safe and orderly country. (Crime rates in Canada have dropped consistently since the beginning of the 1990's). Firearms are strictly controlled and generally not permitted. International students who come to Canada should follow the same common sense precautions as they would anywhere in the world. |
A Bilingual Nation
Canada is a bilingual country with two official languages, English and French. The majority of Canada's French speaking inhabitants live in the province of Québec. This province is located in the eastern part of the country, but there are French speaking communities throughout the country. Students may choose to study in either language or at a bilingual institution. As a bilingual nation, Canada offers excellent English as a Second Language (ESL) and French as a Second Language (FSL) programs for students wishing to learn either or both languages. |
Employment and Work Opportunities
As an international student, you can easily complement your studies with work experiences on or off campus. Full-time international students at public colleges and universities, who hold a study permit, can work on their home campus without a work permit. And there is also the option to obtain an off-campus work permit. Moreover, through the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program, once international students graduate, they can obtain a work permit for up to three years (varies depending on duration of the studies undertaken in Canada). And with key sectors of the Canadian economy booming, you may just want to stay a little bit longer. Contact us today and let us help you create a better tomorrow. |
